From The Visitors episode of Ancient Aliens
Akhenaten ascended to the throne as the 10th Pharaoh of the 18th dynasty in 1352 B.C. He is depicted in paintings and carvings with an elongated skull, which some ancient alien theorists interpret as a sign of extraterrestrial heritage.
I do not see why this was never used in the Stargate show. The elongatewd head is likened to the Grays, andin the Stargate universe, that would be the Asgard.
More on this from Wikipedia:
He is especially noted for abandoning traditional Egyptian polytheism and introducing worship centered on the Aten, which is sometimes described as monotheistic or henotheistic. An early inscription likens him to the sun as compared to stars, and later official language avoids calling the Aten a god, giving the solar deity a status above mere gods.
He pushed a new religion to REPLACE RA!
He was all but lost from history until the discovery, in the 19th century, of Amarna, the site of Akhetaten, the city he built for the Aten.
Amarna is an extensive Egyptian archaeological site that represents the remains of the capital city newly–established and built by the Pharaoh Akhenaten of the late Eighteenth Dynasty (c. 1353 BC), and abandoned shortly afterwards.
This city contains the potential of lots of campaign ideas.
