Left Alone

I heard something today that was sobering and hit home for me… it may offend but I am going to do it anyway…

The most terrifying force of death comes from the hands of ‘Men who wanted to be left alone.

They try, so very hard to mind their own business and provide for themselves and those they love.

They resist every impulse to fight back, knowing the forced and permanent change of life that will come from it.

They know the moment they fight back, the lives as they have lived them, are over.

The moment the ‘Men who wanted to be left Alone’ are forced to fight back, it is a small form of suicide. They are literally killing off who they used to be.

Which is why, when forced to take up violence, these ‘Men who wanted to be left Alone’, fight with unholy vengeance against those who murdered their former lives.

They fight with raw hate, and a drive that cannot be fathomed by those who are merely play-acting at politics and terror.

True terror will arrive at their door, and they will cry, scream, and beg for mercy, but it will fall upon deaf ears”

While I do not advocate violence in any way, we have seen a lot in the past few years. All many of us want to do is be left alone. I was quiet all through high school despite all the bullying. I just wanted to be left alone. I disconnected from a lot of things because of it, missed out on a lot of typical high school stuff because I wanted to be just left alone and I know that if I participated in anything, I would be picked on more.

I moved to the South to get away from all that and be left alone, raise a family and get paid doing what I love. I went to college only to find out that bullies are unique to NJ. There were just more of them. I finally found my place, my people and my world. I finally felt like I had a place in this world.

But now, as an older father and husband, due in part because of the inundation of information through the internet and 24-hour new cycle as well as a very intrusive government using the latest crisis, I can’t be just left alone.

With all that is going on today, this is a good warning. There are A LOT of people that just want to be left alone. May I suggest you do so.
