Panthers are BACK!

I am not sports commentator and I am not expert on football. I love the game, but I could not tell you the dfference between a Cornerback and a Left Tackle. I am endeavoring to learn more year by year, but it has always been a work in progress. I have always been a fan of the game, and learning the deep dark workings has been fascinating to me but only at my own pace.

Being a Carolina Panther fan has been tough since 2004. To watch a quarterback that I liked so much in Delhomme fall from grace and drag the team with him was pretty hard. I grew up as Cowboys fan but the Cowboys rarely had consistent bad years. It was a new thing for me. But I have stuck with them.

Marrying a Auburn grad, I never thought the two areas would ever intersect so strongly. Watching Cam Newton, I became a fan of this guy quickly. He is am amazing athlete and a great quarterback. When the Panthers got him, I went nuts! I am all in with Cam Newton. I think he is the QB of the future for Carolina.

After the lock out, Carolina went crazy with aquisitions. I have to say that I am REALLY encouraged by what they are doing. The acquisition of two veteran Tight Ends, keeping the double fist punch of Williams and Stewart, and Cam being groomed and QB1 eventually, I have to say, this is going to be one hack of a offense. The two power houses at TE will keep the defenses worried about 10 to 15 year pick up passes, which burns the clock and gives us progress, while the danger of Steve Smith out there will really start having an impact. I think we are going to see some big plays this year. I am JAZZED for this season!
