Masters of the Air February 21 2024 Incredible! While this has a different tone and feel from Band of Brothers or The Pacific, it is definitely deep and riveting. While the men on the ground saw their friends slaughtered by the Germans and the Japanese, one at a time, these airman lived through their own horror. The dread of being shot down, facing off against hundreds of fighters, and the shower of metal shrapnel and bullets constant. Powerful. |

| Alien: Romulus | 10 | Absolutely phenomenal!! The best Alien movies since Aliens, hands down. It had everything we have ever wanted in an Alien movie and more. Just when I thought it was over, it was on again, and so many throwbacks. Perfect merging of Alien and the lore laid out in Prometheus & Covenant 10 out of 10. | 2024 |
| 2024 Summer Movie Binge 2 | 10 | Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare Awesome! I love WW2 movies and this one was right up my ally. It had a goofie aspect to it that made the movie even better. It is sad it did not do well. 9 out of 10 The Beekeeper This was better than I thought it would be. Typical Stathom movie, with a little more gore and violence. Had a John Wick vibe to it that I liked. 8 out of 10! Deadpool & Wolverine The story was on par with the cookie cutter brainless stuff Disney puts out, but the cameos obviously made up for it. This one I actually saw in the Theater. 8 out of 10. | 2024 |
| 2024 Summer Movie Binge | 10 | Godzilla x Kong Awesome! If you like the Monsterverse, this is what fans of it asked for. Those that hated it were not fans of the Monsterverse. Loved it!! 10 out of 10 Godzilla Minus One Phenomenal! Everything everyone said it would be. Loved it!! 10 out of 10! Civil War Pretty good. I find it puzzling that people thought it wasn't political or taking a particular side. Abolishing the FBI is definitely a right wing thing. This was a very subtle allegory to what the left things Trump will do. 7 out of 10. | 2024 |
| Rebel Moon Part 1 & Part 2 | 2 | My opinion of this series is really no different from the majority of critics - it's terrible. The story does entirely make sense - why this big deal over grain with an imperial presence that can cross the galaxy through the "space vagina" in seconds and raise the dead. I get that it has this Magnificent Seven vibe but I at least cared about those characters. And the griffin ride - WHY? Made no sense. Good idea but poorly executed. Visuals were incredible, though. | 2024 |
| Dune Part 1 & Part 2 | 10 | Realizing I never posted about Dune 1, I decided to post about both since I rewatched it before going to see Dune 2. I really enjoyed both although both are really cerebral, perhaps a little slow, especially Part 2. The one thing about Dune 2 that stands out to me is that it leaves you thinking. Having seen the 1980s movie, then reading the book, you get a lot of themes out of it. First, you see why the 80s movie, while good in some ways, missed the mark in others. This version hits the mark in so many ways but it's very heavy... dense with lore and theme. I can see why some people just didn't get it. | 2024 |

| 2023 End of Year Movie Binge | 10 | Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part 1 Awesome! A lot of running and chasing but still a good movie. Very much a MI movie. Tom Cruise has his finger on the pulse of what a good MI movie is. 9 out of 10 only because it has too much Tom-Cruise-running Expendables 4 Somewhat disappointed in this one, although the story was not bad (although predictable). Missing several of their past stars and did not bring in any new 80s action heroes - just a few martial artists. 6 out of 10. Blue Beatle For a person that is suffering from super hero fatigue, I enjoyed this movie. I really like Blue Beatle as a hero and this was a great story. I like the focus on family. 7 out of 10 only because it is just another super hero movie with a generally derivative and overdone plot, but the characters were awesome! Equalizer 3 My favorite of all of these. I loves the locale, the action and I have always loved DW's approach to Robert McCall. he's the man!! 10 out of 10 | 2023 |
| Star Trek: Strange New Worlds S2 | 10 | I was highly disappointed by this season. While I am not a musical fan, I understand the need for one. I do not like Star Trek: Lower Decks. They should not have included both in one season. The rest of the episodes except for the last one were very weak. | 2023 |
