Several dead games that I used to play have gotten a revival. Alternity just got a kickstarter with a revised, more modern system. Shatterzone got a reprint and a new system as well. Torg is getting a revival and so is Dark Conspiracy. The only game left that I would care about is Star Frontiers.

RPGaDay2017 #10: Where do you go for RPG Reviews?
I used (and still occasionally do) to write reviews for games, including RPGs and I was not always kind. But being on the inside, you realize how subjective these reviews are. People play RPGs for different reasons. Some love story. Some love the tactical side. Some love the character development. So I might like a certain game for its potential for story but the system may be crappy for a person that loves tactics.
RPGaDay2017 #9: What is a good RPG to play for about 10 sessions?
10 sessions for me is a short campaign. I have done 3 to 4 sessions as a short campaign and I have done 10 to 12. 10 Sessions has time to develop story and some character development. I think players could accomplish one or two short term goals but nothing epic. I probably am going to sound like a broken record but I have two primary systems for short campaigns like this.
RPAaDay2017 #8: What is a good RPG to play for sessions of 2 hours or less
Oddly, I am never really satisfied with a 2 hour session or less playing an RPG. I love to tell an epic story and it’s rare that you can get one told in 2 hours or less. But I have done it and still had fun. In most cases, it was done at a convention as a demo for a particular system or a quick arena fight. The “best” system depends on your audience and what you intend to do in those 2 hours, for me. So my answer initially is “Depends!”
RPGaDay2017 Day 7: What was your most impactful RPG session?
I have decided a week late to join this conversation. Life being so busy with family stuff, kids stuff, personal gaming and convention planning, I totally missed this the first week, despite the fact that two good friends have started doing this. After looking into this, I decided to try it out.
