SG-6 Character Background

SG-6 Character Background

Lt. Col. David Dixon

Lt. Colonel Dave Dixon is the commander of SG-6. He is married and has four children. He loves his children, but teases the expectant father of his team, Sr. Airman Simon Wells, of all the tribulations of parenthood, and how going through the Stargate was easy by comparison.

Dixon has had an easy camaraderie with his team. Like all SG units, SG-6 is well trained and well prepared. They followed Dixon’s orders easily. They maintain a betting pool of what they would find on any given planet. For instance, when they arrived on P3X-666 for a routine mission, Sr. Airman Simon Wells chose an abandoned naquadah mine, which was a boring entry, but had good odds. Sr. Airman Jake Bosworth chose trees (which were already surrounding them), and Dixon disqualified him for being a smartass. Dixon himself chose two headed aliens. Dr. Balinsky ended up winning the pool for his choice of the ruins of an ancient city.

Dave Dixon has a very sharp, but dry sense of humor. Aside from disqualifying Bosworth in the betting pool, he also smirked at his own choice for the entry. When asked if the two-headed alien would be friendly or not, he responded: “One head good, one head bad.” When Balinsky colloquially expressed that Dr. Jackson was going to “die” when he saw the report on the ruins, Dixon snarked, “Again?”, a reference to Daniel Jackson’s numerous fatalities.

Other characters –

Dr. Cameron Balinsky – He can be a pain in the ass at times but he is an important part of the team and the overall mission.

Sr. Airman Jake Bosworth – A good gun, especially at long distances, he is one of the two that are competing for second-in-command.

Sr. Airman Simon Wells – A good scout and soldier, he is also competing for second-in-command.

Agt. Jason Haydenson – Assigned to you for this mission.  You do not trust the NID, since many of them went rogue a few years back and used the SGC for their own profit.  This guy seems a little shady.

Dr. Phillip Spanganthaul – Another egghead in the group.

Dr. Cameron Balinsky

Dr. Cameron Balinsky was first assigned to SG-6 as an archaeologist.  He has a PH.D. in Archeology with a developing specialty in Xeno-Archeology.  His idol is Dr. Daniel Jackson.  He has read every research paper Jackson has ever wrote.

Dr Balinsky has enjoyed joining SG-6 and gets along with his team members.  Like all SG units, they were well trained and well prepared.

Other characters –

Lt. Col. David Dixon – SG-6 commander.  He is a good leader and trustworthy friend.  Dr. Balinsky sees him as a hardcore soldier that deserves respect.  Dixon is at time short and impatient with Dr. Balinsky but does respect the archeologist’s opinions.

Sr. Airman Jake Bosworth – Another soldier, he is a good gun and one you like to be near when things get scary.

Sr. Airman Simon Wells – This guy seems a little ambitious.  He is a good scout and point man.

Agt. Jason Haydenson – He has been assigned to SG-6 for this mission.  You don’t know about him other than he is a government spook.

Dr. Phillip Spanganthaul – A fellow scientist, he is a physicist and nuclear scientist.  Finally, another person with some intelligence.

Sr. Airman Jake Bosworth

Airman Jake Bosworth has enjoyed joining SG-6 and gets along with his team members.  Like all SG units, they were well trained and well prepared.

Jake Bosworth and Sr. Airman Simon Wells are competing for a promotion to second-in-command of the team, with hopes to eventually getting their own team.

Lt. Col. David Dixon – Good leader, tough guy to get to know.

Dr. Cameron Balinsky – Annoying geek, but when the weird stuff starts to happen, he’s good to have around.

Sr. Airman Simon Wells – Bosworth works well with Wells, but feels he is a little ambitious and feels that at some point, that ambition might get in the way of his loyalty to the team.

Agt. Jason Haydenson – FNG of the group (FNG = f*cking new guy), he was assigned to the team for this mission, which worries Bosworth.  Rumor is there is some secret intelligence involved that the SGC is not privy to.

Dr. Phillip Spanganthaul – Another brainiac, this one is a nuclear physicist. That sounds scary to Bosworth.

Agt. Jason Haydenson

Haydenson was assigned to the SG-6 for this one particular mission – to an undesignated world with no gate.  The NID has specific interest in this mission.  Haydenson was told they were going after the payload of a lost B-52 aircraft, lost of the Bermuda Triangle in 1961.  The bomb is not the interest of the NID.  They are interested in the Black Box of the B-52.  The NID has interest in the Bermuda Triangle.  They suspect that this may be another teleportation device like the Stargate and if they can get their hands on it, figure out how to control it, they won’t need the SGC to do what they want.  The data collected by the Black Box of this B-52 might help find this device.

Lt. Col. David Dixon – Commander of SG-6.  Excellent record.

Dr. Cameron Balinsky – Rising star of the SGC Science division.

Sr. Airman Jake Bosworth – Good soldier with a good record, rose up through the ranks slowly.  Barely made it into the SGC program.

Sr. Airman Simon Wells – Ambitious and strong willed, the NID has considered tapping Wells as an inside asset, using his ambition to motivate him in their direction.

Dr. Phillip Spanganthaul – Nuclear physicist.  Not much known other than he is a leader in his field.

Sr. Airman Simon Wells

Simon Wells was married to Marci and they were expecting their first child.   He is also ambitious and strong willed.  He is competing with Bosworth for the second in command position.  He sees this opportunity as a fast track to getting his own team.  Some say Wells is too ambitious.  Wells feels that others, especially Bosworth , simply does not have what it takes.

Simon Wells has enjoyed joining SG-6 and gets along with his team members.  Like all SG units, they were well trained and well prepared.

Lt. Col. David Dixon – Good leader,  but probably destined to always be a Lt Col.

Dr. Cameron Balinsky – Smar geek who really knows his stuff

Sr. Airman Jake Bosworth – Competition for second in commend, Wells really feels like he does not have what it takes.

Agt. Jason Haydenson – New guy added to the team, he is interesting and may represent other opportunities in the long teerm if the SGC does not recognize Well’s true potential.

Dr. Phillip Spanganthaul – Nuclear physicist.

Dr. Phillip Spanganthaul

Spanganthaul is a leader in his field – an expert on nuclear physics and nuclear weapons.  He has worked for the US Department of Defense for several years.  He has only recently been give access to the Stargate Project and the opportunity fascinates him.

Spanganthaul has been told there is a possible lost nuclear ordinance that he will have to deal on this mission and he has been assigned to SG-6 to help with that.

Lt. Col. David Dixon – Leader of SG-6

Dr. Cameron Balinsky – SG-6 scientist, archeologist

Sr. Airman Jake Bosworth – SG-6 soldier

Sr. Airman Simon Wells – SG-6 soldier, scout

Agt. Jason Haydenson – NID Agent also recently assigned to the team
