I, Spy
From: Lost Boys ProductionsReviewed by: Ron McClung I, Spy is a new Board Game from Lost Boys Productions. Recently I was introduced to a new game called I, Spy. I Immediately thought it would be my kind of game when I saw the board and all the various bits. However, I had no idea just how…
21 More Organizations
21 More Organizations is a new RPG Supplement from Gypsy Knights Games. I am of the philosophy that a majority of the stories we collectively make in RPGs are born of conflict, may it be physical, spiritual, moral, mental or social. History buffs like myself can attest that humanity has a long history of conflict. A conflict does not have to be war or combat. It can be the type that is in the shadows and behind the scenes; the intrigue and deceit of conflicting factions.
Ships of Clement Sector 5 – Traders and Scouts
I never really know how to approach supplements like these. To me, playing an RPG is all about making the collective story. Vehicles and equipment are just tools in that story. However, in sci-fi settings, starships do play a big part of that story and are sometimes the source of that story. Ships of Clement Sector 5: Traders and Scouts is an extensive supplement that gives the readers a selection of the many types of Traders and Scout vessels seen in Clement Sector, from small light traders to specialized long range scout ships.
Eldritch Horror
Few games get a reaction like the Arkham Horror game series. The base game is incredible and the expansions do add a lot. I just do not recommend running it with more than one expansion. As time went on, it was harder and harder to pull in players for the game unless you were at a con where people were prepared to play a 4+ hour game. Then came Eldritch Horror – a new take on a the Arkham Horror concept. The designers took the basic concept of Arkham Horror and globalized it. They had me at global

Call of Cthulhu 7th Edition
Call of Cthulhu 7th Edition is a new RPG Core Rule Book from Chaosium Inc.. For a long time, since the late 80s, I have been playing Call of Cthulhu in its various forms, off and on. Some would say that it is one of my better games. I had gotten used to the idiosyncrasies of the simple and rather abstract system but found myself often wanting more structure and definition in the system. With games like 3rd edition D&D, followed by Savage Worlds and now 5th Edition D&D, it has driven my need for a little more “game” in my Call of Cthulhu game.

From: Chaosium, Inc. Reviewed by: Ron McClung Cold Harvest: Roleplaying during the Great Purges is a new RPG Sourcebook/Adventure from Chaosium, Inc.. I have seen a lot of different historical approaches to Call of Cthulhu. Throughout man’s history, there are some pretty horrific periods. But few periods are more unique than the horrific period of the Soviet…
