Group Type: Alien Race, Bolter
Classification: Humanoid
The Drax’uuh are a bolter race that crossed through the Shatterzone thinking they would find a near region of space they could conquer. They are savage warrior with effective weapon technologies, some of which Fleet had not seen before. However, they were not prepared for the skill of the Inner Frontier factions as well as the Fleet scouts they met. They now rage small skirmishes on the coreward edges of the ‘Zone but most see them as a nuisance more than a threat.

The Drax’uuh are a reptilian fringe war-culture that emerged from beyond mapped Fold routes and pushed aggressively into the Tzen-S’saran frontier believing it to be ripe for conquest. Tall, sinewy, and built for violence, they possess elongated necks, serrated dentition, and thick scaled hides well-suited for arid and high-radiation environments. Their society revolves around warbands led by dominant commanders whose legitimacy is proven through combat success. To the Drax’uuh, expansion is not politics-it is destiny.
When they first crossed into S’saran-controlled fringe systems, they arrived with advanced and unconventional weapons technologies that surprised local defense fleets. Their plasma-blade variants, adaptive projectile systems, and modular assault platforms demonstrated a level of military innovation uncommon among fringe powers. But the Drax’uuh made a critical miscalculation: they expected soft resistance. Instead, they encountered the disciplined, highly coordinated fleet doctrine of the Tzen-S’saran.
After suffering several decisive defeats, the Drax’uuh did not withdraw entirely. Pride would not allow it. Instead, they fractured into raiding packs operating along border systems, launching harassment strikes, supply-line ambushes, and opportunistic colony raids. These engagements are frequent enough to maintain tension but rarely large enough to threaten S’saran territorial stability. To the S’saran high command, the Drax’uuh are a persistent irritant. To fringe settlers, they are very real.
The Drax’uuh believe the war is not lost-only delayed. Their war-leaders preach that the S’saran victory was circumstantial, not superior. They are rebuilding, adapting, and studying their enemy. And they have long memories.
Tactics: Drax’uuh raiders prefer aggressive shock tactics. They open with ranged volleys, then close rapidly to melee where their physical strength and serrated weapons dominate. They rely on momentum and intimidation rather than disciplined formations. If their leader falls, cohesion drops quickly.
