A recent technology, E-Gramm implants record an individual’s audiovisual senses, allowing a person to re-watch their memories on E-gramm-enabled displays. The Regimes have begun integrating these implants in their enforcement agents as well as intelligence agents, allowing them to not only remember every conversation the individual had but also monitor agents to insure loyalty.
There are two parts to an E-Gramm implant. The E-Gramm recorder is implanted behind the right ear and wired directly to the sensory portions of the brain. The E-Gramm interface control replaces the tip of the thumb and is a touch sensitive pad that controls the data, since it is interfaced with a display. To access a display, one must just touch the E-gramm thumb to the display port. Research is being done now to display the information to the back of the user’s eye in the next iteration. E-gramm recorders can be removed by a simple surgical procedure, however it does leave a telltale scar behind the ear.
