Future: 6 Free Sensor Contacts is a new D20 Future Source Material PDF from Ronin Arts.
Future: 6 Free Sensor Contacts is a series of adventure seeds especially written for high-adventure in space science fiction games. It came about while the author was working on another project for d20 Future, Future: Datastream and is a “subscription service, introducing new material for futuristic campaigns five times each week.” For more information on that, go to www.d20projects.com.

The first thing this PDF opens with is a short list of general assumptions the author took in order for the GM to use these adventure seeds. In general, these are meant for a Star Wars/Star Trek style sci-fi game with hyperdrive FTL engines and where space combat is common.
As the title states, there are six adventures seeds in the form of starship sensor contacts. I am usually a big fan of adventure ‘nuggets’ because that is all I need to get a good adventure going. The way this is formatted is interesting. Everything is, of course, based on a Computer Use (for Sensors) roll. Based on the roll, they learn certain facts about the contacts. Each is accompanied with a Progress Level. Some are reasonably inspiring while others I have used before. I like the techniques they used and can see a use for something like this in my sci-fi games.
The contacts are entitled: CorpsePod, Decoy Drone, Emergency Lifepod, Garbled Transmission, Illegal Mining Operation, and Jettisoned Cargo.

In conclusion, If this is a preview of what they are putting out in the Datastream, I am impressed. Format is good, numbers and layout are good, and the ideas are pretty good. This does peak my interest in the Datastream project.
