Savage Bloodshadows: Blood of Tarrian Wilderness Creatures
In the shadow-choked back alleys of any big city or the cursed jungles of the Wilderness, Ambush Monkeys are whispered of in barroom rumors and drunk-tank tales—little simian nightmares with human eyes and a hunger for blood. These creatures, twisted by Chaos they say, move with unnatural silence, clinging to the undersides of streetcars, ceiling beams, and the limbs of jungle trees. Their fur is oily and matted, as if slicked with tar, and their faces are mockeries of humanity – smiling too wide, eyes too knowing, hands too precise. What makes them so terrifying isn’t just their claws or their speed—it’s their cruelty. They don’t just kill. They stalk. They toy. They whisper your name in the voice of your dead sister.
They drag out the moment when you realize you’re not alone in the room.
When they strike, it’s always from above or behind. A snatch of movement, a chittering laugh, a whisper too close to your ear. Victims are often found with their faces torn off or strangled with their own shoelaces—if they’re found at all. Some say the Ambush Monkeys were once familiars, twisted by their masters’ sins. Others think they’re the discarded pets of demons, let loose in the world like broken toys.
Whatever the truth is, they know fear. And they like the taste of it.
