The Elemental Dimension of Magic – Spells of Mirrology is a new d20 Fantasy Supplement from Red Anvil Productions.
From page # 2: “The masters of Mirrors are paramount in power within the realm of the Jeshatan. Mirrors are used for communication, confirmation of intentions and travel. ”
Another part of the long Elemental Dimension of Magic series of supplements by Red Anvil, this d20 fantasy spell supplement focuses on Spells of Mirrology. The series is based on a race of people – the Jeshatan – who apparently dwell within the Elemental Dimension of Magic and seem to have magical ability above and beyond anyone else. These particular spells deal with Mirrors, an important and magical tool in the world of Jeshatan.
There are a total of 12 spells in this list. They range from level 1 to level 9, and there are also three Epic level spells. They all deal in one way or another with mirrors and the Plane of Mirrors. They are Reflectionary Spy, Mirror Leap, Sniping Mirror, Mirror Hive, Shine, Paired Mirrors, Trap Door Mirror, Reflection of Soul, Mirror of Prowess, Opposition (10th Circle), Mirror Mastery (11h Circle), and Sea of Glass (12h Circle) (the latter 3 being the Epic Spells).
In conclusion, I can not comment for certain if all these spells are original. I do not know every D&D spell by heart. I also can not comment on these spells from a The Elemental Dimension of Magic setting perspective. I have never reviewed that product and am not familiar with it. What I can say is that the spells are at least interesting and imaginative. They show that the author has an intricate knowledge of the d20 system and can create spells to take advantage of the system nuances.
