Diablo and his Gardhyi minions have established a facility on planet using one of the old Eorna Asylum. They call it Volkos. They installed a star web device receiver (not sender). They use this facility to store troublesome items they find on planet that they want to explore and study for later.
Some tenants of the facility include the mind walkers of Pale, as they are called – psions and mentalists experimented on by the Truane Authority and later outcast. They were driven insane by this experimentation. They were in a hold inside the Malevolent Star until the Gardhyi took them for further study.
Additionally, the Gardhyi discovered a cache of Sathar war beasts, unreleased and still in stasis. Cyber-dragons, cyber-deaths (modified quickdeaths) and others are all stored (and some escaped) on the ship.
The ship is located in a dark cavern underground, in the eastern regions of the grasslands – several hundred kilometers from Pilgrims End and even further from Slave City One.
