10 sessions for me is a short campaign. I have done 3 to 4 sessions as a short campaign and I have done 10 to 12. 10 Sessions has time to develop story and some character development. I think players could accomplish one or two short term goals but nothing epic. I probably am going to sound like a broken record but I have two primary systems for short campaigns like this.

RPAaDay2017 #8: What is a good RPG to play for sessions of 2 hours or less
Oddly, I am never really satisfied with a 2 hour session or less playing an RPG. I love to tell an epic story and it’s rare that you can get one told in 2 hours or less. But I have done it and still had fun. In most cases, it was done at a convention as a demo for a particular system or a quick arena fight. The “best” system depends on your audience and what you intend to do in those 2 hours, for me. So my answer initially is “Depends!”
RPGaDay2017 Day 7: What was your most impactful RPG session?
I have decided a week late to join this conversation. Life being so busy with family stuff, kids stuff, personal gaming and convention planning, I totally missed this the first week, despite the fact that two good friends have started doing this. After looking into this, I decided to try it out.
Hykosians, Reboot
(Under construction) I expanded on this years ago but since then, I have had many new influences inspire me to re-address them. One in particular is Alternity Star*Drive setting. The Armagons sound like an External race from Star*Drive, so I am going to use that as influence into my reboot of the Hykosians and Shatterzone. The original Hykosians or proto-Hykosians…

Post-That Con (ConCarolinas) feedback
So we got feedback from That Con because they like to do surveys and all that. While I am sure they have more than enough to deal with on the fandom end, by statistics, we did fine. Out of 66 respondents, about 3 were rather scathing and hurtful. So, cathartically, I am posting them here. It is a realization that if my work with That Con is going to continue, I have to really look inside myself and figure out what is going on. Is it burnout? Or is it something else? Can it change?
