Catacombs on Pyre

This is the next session for our Fading Suns campaign as it comes to a close. The players stepped through an Ancient gate device and are now underground in the catacombs of a very hot world. All signs show that it is Pyre – from the heats to the sand make-p. But where?

Why did the Highbreed need this gate device and why did they only send the crystalline creature through? What is here that they are so interested in?
