Seek the Wolf in Thyself!
My Other stuff on TV
I have always been a big fan of Flash Gordon. I first watched the cartoon on Saturday mornings and loved it. I also watched the 1930s serials on PBS when they aired them. I loved several aspects of it. I loved Mongo. It was an incredible world with diverse people, all fighting each other and not ever…
You know, there is the so-called “jump the shark” moment that many shows hit and then there is somethign else that a beginning show hits that looses its viewers. I do not know what to call it but Painkiller Jane has just about reached it for me. There is only so-far that a hot blond…
OK, I am a little confused. A guy that spent all season last season trying to kill Jack turns out to be his brother?? And Jack resorts to extreme torture RIGHT away with his brother without any reason? He doesn’t know he was the guy behind all that happened last year. WTF? Although you have…
Well, I watched the first episode of The Dresden Files and am somewhat underwhelmed. It feels like another version of “Buffy.” It has its own little quirks but I am concerned about how it will stay original and re-do old Buffy plots. I’ll watch it but right now, I am neutral about it. Personally, I think…
It’s annoying. I can see the liberals trying to sneak in their messages while at the same time appease the average Joe with simple minded plot twists. Last night, the show tried like crazy to preach against racial profiling. They were in the “boondocks” of Virginia (which look less like the boondocks and more like…
Ok, the first 4 hours are in the can. I had read several spoilers prior to this season so I kind of knew what was going to happen. I saw it being set up slowly but surely in the last 2 hours. I LIKED the big boom! Overall analysis is awesome. What I like: What…
The Green Mile got me thinking. Stephen King did it again in this movie and it’s one thing that annoys me about him and several other authors/screen writers. But I think it’s because I am a gamer and the supernatural in games are easily pidgeon-holed into certain schools or powers. In The Green Mile, there…
I just saw two movies related to memory loss. Both are fairly inspiring and I am wondering what I can use out of them. The Jacket – A movie about a First Gulf War vet, wounded in the head and suffering from some memory loss. He apparently died and came back. [SPOLIER WARNINGS] A year…
I am SICK AND TIRED of the insenuation that BIG OIL is making foreign policy for the US. The Unit last night had part of their story claim that. They were sent to South America to assassinate a new leader of a oil rich South American country – a Hugo-Chávez parallel. There were some differences…
This is slowly becoming one of my #1 favorite shows. They had a concept on tonight that got me thinking… the concept of a “burn box” – a box a soldier leave behind to be destoyed in the case of his death containing stuff he did not want his family knowing about…. Very interesting idea….
