Every once in a while, I come across a movie that came in under the radar; that might not get over 60% on Rotten Tomatoes, that I found well written and the story is well told and that I really like. I am not sure what that says about me but there have been some key movies that have done that for me. Pandorum is one of those movies. It was not well received but I really loved thsi8 movie. So much so, that I bought the movie. The Outpost is another. Sunshine is another, however that one has better reviews on Rotten Tomatoes.

Hollywood has no new ideas
I had a strange series of events happen the other day. For my series on The Gamer’s Codex, called B-Movie Inspirations, I have to find and watch really bad B-movies and find inspiration for RPGs plot in them. I do realize there are only really a fixed set of abstract plots most RPGs can explore. But…
Why I don’t go to Dragon*Con any more…
… and why I don’t miss it. It is that time of year again. Any fan or geek that is knows anything in the Southeast knows that Labeor day weekend means one thing – Dragon*Con. If you don’t know, it is basically the comic-con of the Southeast. At one time, I looked forward to this…
